Daniel Geale, Mundine rematch on Jan. 30th

By Corey Quincy

On Wednesday January 30th of next year live on Australia's premier boxing Pay-Per-View channel Main Event the tricky styled Aussie contender Anthony " Choc " Mundine ( 44-4-0 26 KO's ) will face high stamina Volume-Puncher Daniel " The Real Deal " Geale ( 28-1-0 15 KO's ) in a locally hyped up 12 round IBF Middleweight title bout.

The big crossroads grudge-match was made official just days ago with Press Conferences after much ranting and raving by both parties. The highlight of it all was in Mid-October when Mundine insulted Geale's ethnicity saying he wasn't " Black enough " to be an Indigenous-Tasmanian chaining down to both men promising unlikely Knock outs.

The early betting favorite is very clearly Daniel Geale, as he is the much younger and fresher fighter. Much faster than Mundine. This will be making the steep majority of boxing fans and insiders pick a victory for him.

Mundine at age 37 does have a decent amount of power as shown in recent years and besides that his rough and awkward fighting style also isn't too easy to cope with. This is giving him a chance to pull of the upset as he managed to closely do in the first fight they had. That is not easy though seeing the improvement that Geale has made since then... And the " fading " Mundine has.

With the low amounts of advantages that Mundine is left with physically the key to victory for him is to counter punch, fight dirty a bit. Use the veteran tactics you have gained over the years to " bully " his opponent. Geale needs to drain him down by keeping that high volume workrate going. Pressure him in the corners with hooks and body shots throughout.

The venue is set for the Entertainment Center in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. A large undercard featuring much local Aussie talent will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets go on Sale on Ticket Master today.
